Digital Photo Processing with Microstation and TerraPhoto

Preparing the Model Key Points Laser File

Photo processing in TerraPhoto requires the use of a model key points file generated from the lidar data collected coincident with the photos. This file is used to create the ground model used in processing.

  • Classify ground, classify model key points using the following settings and save to a single .las file
    • every 1-=20m, 15cm tolerance above and below
  1. Run Deduce Lines (as a macro), save all points
  2. Classify a ground surface (as a macro if needed)
  3. Run the Model Key Points classification (as a macro if needed), typically placed in Class 8
  4. Optionally - run an output macro to put model key points in a separate las file (useful for calibration, when no tiling or blocking of data has be done, or when file size is an issue)
