Adjunct Scientists

Sometimes, the AGRG team needs expertise beyond their own group. That’s when they turn to these Adjunct Scientists.

Dr. Laura Chasmer

Dr. Laura Chasmer completed her Ph.D. at Queen's University in 2008 and is currently a post doctoral fellow at Wilfrid Laurier University (under the guidance of Drs. Rich Petrone and William Quinton). She is also an adjunct research scientist at the AGRG. Laura is currently examining the influence of canopy structure on horizontal (advective) and vertical (radiative) fluxes in the boreal forest and southern sub-arctic. The purpose is to determine how canopy structure affects rates of change of soil thaw and variability in CO2 and water fluxes within these environments. Laura is also available to help with airborne and ground-based lidar surveys, field data collection and processing, and helping students with lidar-based analysis at the AGRG.
