CIG Seminar at COGS

There will be a Canadian Institute of Geomatics Seminar presented in the COGS AV Room Fri. Jan 16, 12:10-1:00 PM.
The presentation is "Contaminants in the Environment".
Presented by "Dr. Nelson O'Driscoll" Canada Research Chair in Environmental Biogeochemistry
& Assistant Professor  Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences
Acadia University.

Dr. O'Driscoll is one of the countries leading researchers on mercury. The talk is a general teaching talk about contaminants and mercury speciation and what fish we eat. As you may be aware the Loons in Keji Park have some of the highest concentrations of mercury in the country, so the issue is of direct relevance to people living here.
